Nigeria to Host Inaugural Travelpreneur Expo in Lagos

The Group CEO of Aeroport Group, Oludayo Gideon, said the Nigerian travel and tourism industry will launch its first-ever Travelpreneur Conference and Expo on September 19–20, 2025.

According to the statement signed by the Aeroport boss on Tuesday, the event organised by Travconex Projects Limited, a subsidiary of Aeroport Group, is designed as Nigeria’s first dedicated travel trade fair and conference with a focus on capacity building, innovation, and business development for travel professionals.

Speaking through the statement, the convener of the event emphasised its role in shaping the future of travel in Nigeria.

“This event is a premier platform where travel entrepreneurs, industry stakeholders, and the general public can connect, learn, and explore travel-related opportunities,” Gideon stated.

Themed ‘Innovating the Future of Travel: Empowering Entrepreneurs in a New Era’, the conference promises to feature keynote addresses, expert panels, exhibitions, and the inaugural Travelpreneur Awards honouring excellence and innovation within the travel and tourism sector.

Project Manager at TRAVCONEXPO, Olaotokunbo Olagoke, described the initiative as timely, aligning with global trends and addressing the travel industry’s post-pandemic evolution.

He noted, “We are focused on fostering adaptability, sustainability, and the role of emerging technologies in travel.”

Echoing the sentiment, Project Director Akinkunmi Awotundun stated that the aim of the event was to create an inclusive space for knowledge exchange, networking, and strategic growth.

“TRAVCONEXPO is not just a conference; it’s a movement to redefine travel in Nigeria and across the region.”
