Nsia Insurance marks Africa Day with cultural showcase


Insurance provider in Nigeria, NSIA Insurance, celebrated the 2025 Africa Day with a vibrant cultural showcase across its Head Office and regional branches.

In a statement made available to The PUNCH on Wednesday, it was revealed that the event was a colourful display of unity, creativity, and pride in African heritage.

Africa Day is marked on May 25 of every year, and according to the African Union, the theme for this year was ‘Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations’.

Speaking on the celebration, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NSIA, Moruf Apampa, said, “Africa Day at NSIA Insurance is more than just a celebration. It’s a reflection of who we are – a diverse, dynamic, and proudly African organisation. This year’s event reminded us of the power of our shared roots and the strength that lies in our unity.”

The celebration involved colourful fashion parades, African dishes, and cultural trivia, all paying homage to the continent’s diversity. The highlight of the day was the announcement of six winning teams, three each from the head office and the regions, who were awarded prizes for their exceptional displays and participation.
