Knight Frank Nigeria, a real estate consultancy firm, has awarded scholarships and internship placements to six outstanding students from the University of Lagos and Yaba College of Technology as part of activities marking its 60th anniversary.

The initiative, unveiled during a presentation ceremony in Lagos, is part of the firm’s commitment to youth development and corporate social responsibility.

The company said on Tuesday that it aims to empower the next generation of real estate professionals through financial support and practical industry experience.

The beneficiaries from UNILAG are Ajikanle Omolara, Fawunmi Oyindamola, and Egunjobi Olabimpe. Their counterparts from YABATECH are Adeaga Ifeoluwa Elizabeth, Igwe Chinaza Gift, and Olubakinde Oluwasegun Joshua.

“It is truly an honour to be here today as part of our Diamond Jubilee celebration,” said the Senior Partner and CEO of Knight Frank Nigeria in a statement.

“Knight Frank is proud to not only mark 60 years of service in Nigeria but also invest in the future of our profession through you, the students.”

Okosun noted that while the firm is known for property consultancy, its true focus has always been on people, clients, communities, and its workforce. He praised the selected students for their academic excellence and leadership potential.

“As part of this recognition, we are offering scholarships to support your education and internship opportunities within Knight Frank Nigeria,” he said.

He continued, “We hope this will ignite your passion for real estate, offer valuable hands-on experience, and perhaps open doors you never imagined.”

The Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at UNILAG, Professor Modupe Omirin, commended the firm’s long-standing relationship with the university.

She recalled Knight Frank’s consistent role in accepting interns since the 1980s and highlighted the importance of such collaborations in grooming competent professionals.

The Deputy Rector on Administration, YABATECH, Architect Femi Lawal, expressed appreciation for the firm’s support.

He mentioned the importance of “town and gown” collaborations in preparing students for real-world challenges and urged Knight Frank to sustain its engagement with tertiary institutions.

Ajikanle Omolara of UNILAG and Adeaga Ifeoluwa Elizabeth of YABATECH, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to make their institutions and Knight Frank proud.

Knight Frank Nigeria, which has been active in the country for six decades, said the scholarship and internship programme would be to support academic institutions and strengthen the pipeline of talent in the real estate industry.
