NESG Deepens Public Engagement Ahead of Summit Event

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group has intensified efforts to broaden public engagement and media coverage ahead of the Nigerian Economic Summit 2025, scheduled to be held in October in Abuja.

As part of its preparations, the NESG leadership recently held a strategic meeting with the management team of News Central TV at the station’s headquarters in Lagos, where both parties underscored the critical role of media in amplifying the summit’s themes and policy discussions.

The Nigerian Economic Summit 2025 will focus on key issues such as economic stabilisation, growth, competitiveness, and inclusive development, aligning with NESG’s ongoing reform agenda to address Nigeria’s structural economic challenges.

Chief Executive Officer of NESG, Dr Tayo Aduloju, emphasised the importance of evidence-based advocacy and consistent media engagement in influencing policy decisions. He noted that forging strong media alliances would not only extend the summit’s reach but also foster meaningful dialogue among citizens, the private sector, and government stakeholders.

The NESG team also unveiled plans for regional events and partnerships across West Africa, aimed at building a broader coalition for economic transformation within the sub-region. These initiatives, according to the group, are designed to strengthen Nigeria’s leadership role in regional integration and economic collaboration.

The Managing Director, News Central TV, Kayode Akintemi, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that it provides a valuable platform to showcase NESG’s work and contribute to national conversations on economic transformation.

As the Nigerian Economic Summit 2025 draws closer, NESG reiterated its commitment to creating an inclusive and participatory platform that brings together policymakers, business leaders, civil society organisations, and the general public. The summit is expected to generate actionable insights and strategies for addressing Nigeria’s economic realities and charting a sustainable path forward.
