A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Abiodun Borisade, has described the state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, as a unifier of Ekiti in terms of voice and political development.
Borisade spoke on Monday at the statewide campaign in Ijero-Ekiti, where the Governor and his campaign team were in attendance.
Speaking at the campaign ground, Borisade lauded the leadership strategy of Oyebanji and expressed confidence in a massive electoral victory for the governor during the forthcoming June 20 governorship election.
He urged the Ekiti electorate to re-elect Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the Governorship poll for continuity of dividends of democracy.
His words, “The last time in the collective history that Ekiti spoke with one voice was during the Kiriji War (1877–1893), unifying to form the Ekiti Parapo.
“Come June 2026, the ‘Child of Destiny’, Biodun Oyebanji, through divine intervention, will be claiming a spot in the political history of Ekiti state, having galvanised the entirety of the political space to ensure his return to office for completion of his second term as the elected governor of Ekiti state.
“The journey was at times turbulent as expected, but the ship stayed steady on course, whilst more well-wishers joined the sail.
‘Today at the Ijero local government BAO Campaign tour, I joined the multitude of our party faithfuls here present to witness and support the unstoppable campaign train to ensure a peaceful victory for the governor.
“The campaign effort from all and sundry is witnessed by the public’s acceptance of the governor. From my polling unit and ward (Iloro/Ijurin), you can see supporters wearing T-shirts and caps bearing the AbiodunBorisadeTV logo in solidarity with the APC Ekiti mantra.
“In furtherance of the advancement of this reelection bid, the ‘Door to Door’ mobilisation team got support from my humble self by facilitating the creation of 3 BAO Anchor Groups (In Iloro ward A, & Iloro/Ijurin ward B) and 1 in my Ado Ekiti neighbourhood.
“So far, so good as the general public has come to realise the benefits of fulfilling their civic duty by voting on election day, hence the confidence that Ekitikete will record above 500,000 votes for governor Oyebanji come 20th June 2026”, Borisade said.
