Presidential Aspirant, Osifo Seeks Delegates’ Support

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Stanley Osifo, has promised to work for the development of Nigeria after undergoing screening ahead of the party’s presidential primary election.

This is as he appealed to delegates participating in the APC primary election, as well as Nigerians, to support his aspiration.

He made the appeal in a statement issued on Sunday following the screening exercise conducted by the party’s Screening Committee, led by the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, at the Plateau Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, on Saturday.

The screening forms part of the requirements for participation in the APC presidential primary election scheduled to be held later in the week in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Osifo, who also contested for the presidency in 2023, expressed confidence in his ambition and reaffirmed his commitment to national development.

According to him, Nigeria has the potential to overcome its economic and security challenges with the right leadership and determination.

“I am ready to work to make Nigeria better if I am allowed to serve. We can solve our economic and security problems if we are determined, and I have what it takes to put things right in the country.

“My decision to contest is not for fun. I want to implement people-oriented programmes once I am given the opportunity. All hands must be on deck to make Nigeria better, and I offer myself to serve,” he said.

Osifo urged APC delegates and members to support his aspiration during the party’s primary election, while also calling on Nigerians to back him in the general election.

He thanked his supporters for standing by him and assured them that he would not disappoint if elected.

“I appreciate all those supporting this project. I promise not to disappoint Nigerians if allowed to serve and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people,” the statement added.
