The Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has described the alleged alliance formation between the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) and the Allied People’s Movement (APM) as another fraudulent move by some politicians.
Wike disclosed this in Abuja on Thursday after inspecting the Yangoji-Gomani road in the Kwali Area Council.
He said that the PDP is busy with its ongoing screening of aspirants and does not have plans to enter into an alliance with any political party.
According to him, the PDP has a presidential candidate whose name would be submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Wike said, “ Don’t worry yourself. When I say people are fraudulent, they thought I was joking. And that’s the 419 we are talking about. Luckily, the PDP has issued a press conference.
“There’s no alliance between PDP and Allied People’s Movement (APM) or any other political party, as the case may be. INEC also knows that there’s nothing called the PDP-APM alliance. People are busy doing their screening.
“So, it’s the imagination of Seyi Makinde. And that has now confirmed what we have told the Nigerians, after the misinterpretation of his judgment, it has become clear to every Nigerian that these guys are very, very fraudulent. It is for Nigerians to know, to see it for themselves.
“PDP has presented presidential candidates and watched out for who will be submitted to INEC, and see whether there’s anything called PDP-APM.
“We said it, and we know that Bala has gone to APM. Bala has never said anything about PDP-APM. Instead of him (Makinde) coming out to say he has joined APM.
“Maybe, those of his supporters, maybe, those of his supporters, if they ever remain in PDP in Ibadan, maybe he’s taking them along. That’s what he’s calling a PDP-APM alliance. It’s unfortunate. We know that has been his game plan, and we would say he cannot fly the flag of PDP.
“So please tell Nigerians that there’s nothing like the PDP-APM alliance. What you have is Seyi Makinde joining APM to be able to actualise his presidential ambition, which is already dead on arrival”.
