Osun 2026: Oyebamiji Remains Osun’s Best Option

Takes Free Medical Outreach To Ife South LG

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olubunmi Oluwafumilayo Lawal, has described Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, as the right candidate to lead Osun State, saying his growing popularity across communities reflects public confidence in his leadership capacity.

Lawal, popularly known as Bumac, spoke on Thursday during a free medical outreach held in Ifetedo, Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.

The outreach was organised by South West Support Group in collaboration with Victory Support Foundation, where residents benefited from free medical consultations, health checks and distribution of drugs.

According to Bumac, the large turnout at the programme showed the strong support base enjoyed by the APC and AMBO in Ife South.

“We are in Ifetedo, the political centre of Ife South, and the turnout here shows that our people believe in AMBO because they see him as the right man for the job. The support is organic and growing daily because of his connection with the grassroots,” she said.

Bumac also commended the South West Support Group for sustaining grassroots humanitarian programmes aimed at supporting vulnerable residents.

The Executive Chairman of Ife South Local Government, Muftau Ayodeji Adegbite, described the outreach as a commendable initiative capable of easing the burden on residents, especially the less privileged.

“You can see the turnout yourself. This is a good gesture, and we appreciate the organisers for remembering the downtrodden and vulnerable people in our communities,” he said.

Adegbite expressed confidence in the APC’s chances in the forthcoming governorship election, maintaining that Ife South remained a stronghold of progressive politics.

“As far as Ife South is concerned, we are ready to deliver our mandate for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. Our people are fully prepared,” he stated.

He also urged residents and party supporters to shun violence during the election period, stressing the need for peaceful participation to allow elderly voters and other residents to exercise their rights freely.

Also speaking, the Women Leader of Ife South Local Government, Fausat Funke, commended the organisers for bringing healthcare support closer to residents.

The Iyaloja of Ife South Local Government, Jaiyeoba Simbiat, and Andrew, the Chief Imam of Ife South Local Government, Hussein Abduljamal, also praised the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial to residents.
