Olaoluwa Seeks Support For Senatorial Ambition, Adeleke’s Re-Election


The Osun State Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa, has called for total support from stakeholders in Osogbo Local Government for his senatorial ambition, reaffirming his grassroots strength and political experience.

The appeal was made on Wednesday as a strong wave of political support swept through Osogbo Local Government, where party leaders, stakeholders, and members converged to endorse his ambition and reaffirm their commitment to the re-election bid of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Speaking at the gathering, Olaoluwa described himself as a committed grassroots mobiliser who understands the needs of the people, urging residents and party faithful in Osogbo to stand firmly behind his ambition and the administration of Governor Adeleke.

He also expressed appreciation to the Osun State SSG, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, for his supportive message, noting that such encouragement strengthens the resolve of party members.

“I am a grassroots mobiliser who understands the needs of our people. I have always stood with them, and I will continue to represent their interests. I urge all stakeholders and party faithful in Osogbo to support my ambition and the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke,” he said.

“I want to sincerely thank Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye for his message of encouragement. Such support strengthens our resolve and gives us confidence to move forward,” Olaoluwa added.

Speaking on behalf of the SSG, the PDP Chairman of Osogbo Local Government, Hon. Asimiyu Ajibola, declared full support for Olaoluwa’s senatorial ambition, describing him as a capable and experienced politician with deep connections at the grassroots.

“On behalf of the SSG, I want to tell you all that we are fully in support of Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa. He is a capable and experienced politician with deep grassroots connections, and we are confident in his ability to deliver,” Ajibola stated.

Also speaking, Hon. Abioye Adenike, from the 7th House of Assembly, commended the governor’s performance, stating that his impact is evident to residents and urged him to sustain the momentum.

“Many of us moved from APC to ADC and eventually aligned with Governor Adeleke of the Accord party, because of his visible achievements. His performance speaks for itself, and we urge him to sustain the good work,” she said.

Adenike further advised members of the Accord Party to remain focused, determined, and prayerful, stressing that unity and consistency are essential for political success.

“ I want to encourage members of the Accord Party to remain focused, determined, and prayerful. Unity and consistency are key to our success.” She added.

Chairman of Orolu Local Government, Alhaji Fatai Alade, described Olaoluwa as a seasoned grassroots politician who has served as both party and local government chairman, emphasising that his experience would greatly benefit the party if elected.

“Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa is a seasoned grassroots politician who has served as both party chairman and local government chairman. His experience will greatly benefit the party and the people,” Alade noted.

Similarly, Reverend Balogun Adekunle praised Olaoluwa as a tested and trusted leader who has consistently demonstrated capacity in various positions. He urged party members to remain united, warning that division could weaken their collective strength ahead of the elections. He expressed confidence in Governor Adeleke’s chances, stating that public support for his re-election remains strong.

“Olaoluwa is a tested and trusted leader who has demonstrated capacity over time. We must remain united because division will only weaken us. I am confident that Governor Adeleke will secure re-election with the level of support he enjoys,” he said.

In his remarks, Alhaji Abdul Lateef Adesina Adedapo, former Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, described Olaoluwa as a people-oriented leader with a proven track record.

He recalled Olaoluwa’s role as a former PDP chairman in the state, noting his ability to unite party members and contribute significantly to the emergence of Governor Adeleke.

“Olaoluwa is a leader who puts people first. As a former PDP chairman, he played a significant role in uniting members and contributing to the emergence of Governor Adeleke,” he stated.

Leaders from Olorunda Local Government also announced their unanimous adoption of Olaoluwa as their preferred senatorial candidate, expressing confidence in his leadership and citing his empowerment initiatives, which have positively impacted thousands of people.
