On Sunday, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) announced the appointment of Bala Yunusa Mohammed as its new National Chairman, following the resignation of its former Chairman, Dr Ajuji Ahmed, who has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The development was confirmed in a press statement issued in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ladipo Johnson, who said the decision was approved by the party’s National Working Committee.
Johnson described Mohammed, a former National Organising Secretary from Kaduna State, as a seasoned administrator capable of steering the party through the evolving political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
