Former Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has assured aspirants of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) that the party’s primaries will be conducted on a fair and transparent basis without preferential treatment for any candidate.
Dickson, who is the national leader of the NDC, made the declaration in a statement shared on his X account on Friday as the party conducted its primaries across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, no aspirant has been endorsed by the party leadership, stressing that all contestants enjoy equal rights and protection within the party.
“All aspirants have equal protection, and that is why I have not endorsed anyone, even in my home state. The same principle applies across the country,” Dickson stated.
