Kaduna Pilgrims Head To Makkah, Complete Madina Rituals

Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency will convey the last batch of pilgrims to Makkah on Friday in record time, after spending the mandatory four days in Madina.

A statement issued by the Kaduna State Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa from Madina, attributed the seamless evacuation to Governor Uba Sani’s adequate support for the Agency.

Quoting the Director of Operations of the pilgrims agency, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Yusuf, the statement noted that the Governor’s support enabled the commencement of early preparations for the pilgrimage, beginning with the weekly sensitisation of intending pilgrims in Nigeria.

“The exercise educated our pilgrims on all aspects of Hajj, the rules of Saudi Arabia and how they should conduct themselves throughout the pilgrimage,” Abubakar added.

“That foundation laid the ground for the smooth conduct of all the Hajj rites in Madina,” adding that the Agency’s officials did not encounter many challenges with Kaduna State pilgrims.

The Director of Operations also commended the Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, former Head of Service, for giving overall guidance during the pilgrims’ sojourn at Madina.

Alhaji Abubakar recalled that the State Hajj Delegation had visited Malam Sani Garba, a pilgrim who was hospitalised at the Almiqati General Hospital in Madina, alongside staff of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.

The statement further disclosed that Malam Sani has been discharged and has left for Makkah on Thursday.

The Director of Operations also commended the members of the Special Hajj Committee and the Management of the Agency, for housing pilgrims at Misfalah district in Makkah, along Ibrahim Khalil Road, situated within a walkable distance to the Masjid al-Haram.
