Inuwa Yahaya Arrives Tunisia For Africa Investment Summit


Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has arrived in Tunis, Tunisia, to participate in the 2026 Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA) Conference.

The governor is leading a high-level delegation comprising government officials, business leaders and traditional rulers, including the Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III.

In a statement signed by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe, on Friday, the FITA Conference is a continental platform that convenes policymakers, investors and industry leaders to promote economic partnerships and investment opportunities across Africa.

During the event, Inuwa Yahaya is expected to engage in bilateral meetings with Tunisian investors and development partners to explore areas of cooperation, particularly in renewable energy, technology transfer and sustainable development.

He was received on arrival by the Tunisian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mohsen Antit, and Nigeria’s Acting Ambassador to Tunisia, Jibrin Adamu.

Other dignitaries at the reception included the Vice President of the Tunisia Consortium for African Development (TUCAD), Ibn Issam Youseff, and the Mission Coordinator to Tunisia and Chief Executive Officer of the African Network Centre in Morocco, Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe.
