Hajiya Yar Tsakuwa Emerges As Sokoto PDP’s New Women Leader


The Sokoto State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of a new State Women Leader and Zonal Secretary for Sokoto South Senatorial District.

This was announced during a State Working Committee meeting chaired by the Sokoto State PDP Chairman, Hon. Muhammadu Bello Aliyu Goronyo.

Those appointed were Hajiya Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa as Women Leader, Alhaji Umaru Arzika Mandera as Zonal Secretary for Sokoto South Senatorial District, and Hajiya Nunu S. Fawa Goronyo as State Ex-official.

Hajiya Amina Awwal is to replace Zainab Naseer Dogon Daji, who was removed from the position of Women Leader for alleged anti-party activities, while Alhaji Umaru Arzika Mandera is to replace Ahmed S. Pawa, who was also removed for the same offence.

Similarly, Hajiya Nunu S. Fawa Goronyo is to replace Hajiya Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa, who was appointed as the new Women Leader.

The chairman congratulated the new appointees and urged them to uphold the principles of the party and work hard for the progress of the party at all levels.
