George-Kelly Congratulates Chinda, Reaffirms Support For Wike’s Group

A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, George-Kelly D.A., has congratulated Hon. O.K. Chinda on his emergence as the party’s consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Friday, George-Kelly described Chinda’s emergence as a reflection of unity, patriotism, and commitment to the progressive ideals of the APC and the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.

He revealed that although he participated in the recently concluded APC governorship primary, he voluntarily stepped aside in the overall interest of Rivers State and the party, allowing Chinda to emerge as the consensus candidate.

George-Kelly praised the leadership and members of the Rainbow Coalition for what he called their wisdom, foresight, and political maturity in reaching a consensus.

According to him, the process that produced Chinda underscored the coalition’s commitment to presenting experienced and capable leadership for Rivers State.

“This is leadership in action, principled, united, and focused on results,” he said.

Describing Chinda as a seasoned politician, George-Kelly noted that his years of service in the House of Representatives, as well as his understanding of governance, legislative processes, and Niger Delta issues, have adequately prepared him for the task ahead.

He expressed confidence that Chinda’s experience, grassroots connections, and leadership capacity would translate into transformative governance for Rivers State.

George-Kelly also pledged his full support for the APC candidate and vowed to work toward his victory in the forthcoming governorship election.

He further reaffirmed his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, stating that the Renewed Hope Agenda was already yielding visible results across the country.

The APC chieftain also reiterated his loyalty to the Rainbow Coalition under the leadership of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, whom he commended for providing direction and structure for the APC in Rivers State.

He called on party members, supporters of the Rainbow Coalition, and Rivers residents to remain united and rally behind Chinda ahead of the general election.

“Together, under the Rainbow Coalition, we shall deliver Rivers State,” he said.
