Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo has expressed pain over the recent kidnapping of students and teachers in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
In a statement shared on his official social media on Saturday, he described the situation as heartbreaking and urged authorities to take decisive action to secure the release of victims and prevent future occurrences.
Adebayo said the incident had left him emotionally disturbed as a father and a Nigerian.
“As a father, I cannot begin to imagine the fear and uncertainty that parents must be feeling.

“As a son of this soil, it breaks my heart to see children, teachers, and innocent citizens caught in such a tragic situation,” he said.
He extended his sympathy to affected families, noting the emotional toll of the incident.
“My thoughts keep circling around every family affected, every child whose innocence has been shaken, every teacher who has endured this trauma, and every loved one waiting and praying for good news,” he said.
The actor also lamented the loss of a teacher in the incident, describing it as deeply painful.
“I am especially saddened by the loss of a dedicated educator whose commitment to shaping young minds ended in such a heartbreaking manner,” he added.
Adebayo stressed the need to focus on the human cost of the tragedy rather than just reports and figures.
“In moments like this, beyond the headlines and statistics, we must remember the human lives at the center of this tragedy. These are our children. Our teachers. Our people,” he said.
He further offered prayers for those affected and called for divine comfort and healing.
“I join millions of Nigerians in praying for comfort for the grieving, strength for the affected families, healing for the survivors, and peace for every community carrying the weight of this pain,” he said.
The actor also called on security agencies to act swiftly and bring perpetrators to justice.
“I also call on the relevant authorities and security agencies to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the safety of our people, bringing those responsible to justice, and restoring the confidence of our communities,” he stated. “Our children deserve to learn in safety, our teachers deserve to serve without fear, and every citizen deserves the peace and security that is their right.
“May God comfort the grieving, strengthen the affected families, heal the wounded, and watch over Oyo State,” he prayed.
