The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced that it is currently reviewing a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to parts of its information systems.
In a public notice issued yesterday, the commission disclosed that the breach affected limited aspects of its digital infrastructure, prompting an immediate response to contain the situation.
“The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is currently reviewing a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to limited aspects of its information systems,” the notice stated.
The commission said it had activated its response protocols and is working closely with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), alongside other relevant government agencies and partners, to assess the scope and impact of the incident.
According to the statement, containment measures have already been implemented, while additional safeguards have been put in place to protect the integrity of its systems.
