The Borno State All Progressives Congress (APC) critical stakeholders have endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima and vowed to mobilize support for the APC, come the 2027 general elections.

Addressing APC critical stakeholders at the Multipurpose Hall of the Government House, Maiduguri yesterday, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, urged the stakeholders and party members not to allow the choice of his successor to divide them.

“Power belongs to God and He alone gives power. We should not allow the choice my successor divide us. Borno APC has always been one united family”, he said.

Zulum said: “I have always been fair and loyal to my boss, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and respect is reciprocal. If I respect someone above me, those that are below me will also respect me.

“Peace and security is paramount, and we should not allow anything to disrupt the fragile peace we have been enjoying”, he added. Earlier, in his speech, the Deputy National Chairman, North of the APC, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, said Borno has always been a home of APC and by the Grace of God, the state will remain an APC state.

“I hereby move the motion for the endorsement of President Tinubu/Kashim Shettima come 2027. Do you endorse them and pledge to support all APC candidates” he queried.

The Deputy chairman said the APC in Borno has always been speaking in one voice and believe it would continue as such. In his welcome address, the Borno State APC chairman, Hon Bello Ayuba, thanked all the stakeholders for answering the invitation of the party, stressing that this showed that the party still remains one family.

He called for continue unity among all party members and urged them to continue to pray for the party leaders in the state and the country at large.
