Atiku Meets Amaechi Amid Post-Election Talks


Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Thursday visited former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi following the conclusion of the African Democratic Congress presidential primaries.

The meeting comes amid ongoing political consultations and reactions trailing the ADC presidential primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Both Atiku and Amaechi played key roles in the contest, which attracted national attention as opposition political activities intensify ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Although details of the meeting were not immediately disclosed, the visit has generated speculation about possible reconciliation efforts, party unity and future political alignments within the ADC.

It will be recalled that Amaechi had earlier expressed dissatisfaction with the result of the election citing irregularities.

Atiku’s visit comes at a time when political stakeholders across the country are engaging in consultations following the outcome of various party primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
