The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a new timetable for its National Assembly primary elections in Zamfara State, as internal party activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Abuja and signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party disclosed revised dates for the conduct of primary elections and subsequent appeals.
The House of Representatives primary election has been rescheduled to hold on Monday, May 18, 2026, followed by the Senate primary on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

The House of Assembly primary is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, while the Governorship primary will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026. The Presidential primary election is slated for Monday, May 23, 2026.
For the appeal process, the House of Representatives appeals will be heard on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, while Senate appeals are fixed for Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Appeals for the House of Assembly will hold on Thursday, May 21, 2026, and Governorship appeals are scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026.
However, the APC did not state the reason for the rescheduling but reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a credible and orderly primary process as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
