Five primary school pupils in Anambra State have been commended for their outstanding performances through the payment of school fees for them by the state Police Command in the area.
Recall that during the last Police Day celebration in Anambra State, the Police Commissioner Ikioye Orutugu had promised to offset the school fees of the five best outstanding children at the primary school level.
In fulfilment of the promise, the Command has paid the second-term school fees of five pupils who distinguished themselves academically in their respective classes.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, “The gesture is aimed at encouraging excellence, supporting education, and promoting nation-building in Anambra State”
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD, noted that the Police remains committed not only to maintaining law and order, but also to supporting initiatives that positively impact the lives of Ndi Anambra, especially the younger generation”
“The Command, therefore, reassures residents of its resolve to continue to combine effective policing with people-oriented programmes that foster trust, compassion, and community development”, the statement read.
