For the umpteenth time, six members of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, April 22, cross carpeted to different political parties.
While four dumped the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), and defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), two left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defections were announced by Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas during the plenary.
Those who left the NNPP for the ADC were Hon. Sani Wakili (Minjibri/Ungogo Federal Constituency, Kano State), Hon. Muktar Zakari (Tarauni Federal Constituency, Kano State), Hon. Yusuf Datti (Kura/Madobi/Garun Mallam Federal Constituency, Kano State) and Hon. Abdulhakeem Ado (Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency, Kano State).
The lawmakers that jettisoned the PDP for the APC were: Hon. Chinedu Martins (Imo State) and Hon. Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace (Zamfara State).
