An epic Yoruba film, Lisabi: A Legend Is Born, has emerged as the winner of the Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) category at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), marking another major achievement at the 12th edition of the prestigious award.
The film earned recognition for its compelling storytelling, cultural depth and strong use of indigenous language in portraying a legendary African narrative.
