Nollywood actor, Stanley Nzebiegwu known widely as Stan Nze has acknowledged that he is capable of forgiving an unfaithful partner, but emphasised that forgiveness must be accompanied with responsibility and contrition.
The father of one stated that genuine love, which is based on selflessness and kindness as taught in Christ rather than transient attraction or emotion, is sufficient to endure marital issues in a recent discussion regarding trust, infidelity, and contemporary relationships.

Nze clarified that although forgiveness is possible, it shouldn’t be used as an excuse for persistent misconduct.
He went on to say that boundaries and wisdom are necessary for love.
He said: “Real love is enough, am not talking about ‘butterflies in your tummy’… not that. The love that Christ preached, the one that is agape, the love in Galatians 5:23, it’s not built on flesh, it’s genuine.
The one that’s selfless, the one that’s kind, forgives easily because the things that happen in marriage or relationship that don’t make it work, the fact that you cannot forgive. Love is enough if it’s the right love.
“Absolutely, I can forgive cheating, but we shall not continue in sinning that grace might be abound. So you would not be stupid but if someone offends you or does something that’s not right, that’s what it is. It is not a licence to be stupid,” he said.
