Indomie Celebrates 100,000 Children Nationwide for Children’

Nigeria’s instant noodles brand, Indomie, has celebrated over 100,000 children nationwide as part of its 2026 Children’s Day activities, reinforcing its commitment to children’s happiness, development, and family bonding across the country.

It said in a statement on Wednesday that the nationwide celebration, marking the 21st edition of Indomie’s annual Children’s Day initiative, featured simultaneous activations across major cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Anambra, and Abeokuta, among others.

The flagship Lagos event, held at Apapa Amusement Park, brought together thousands of children and families for a day of rides, indoor and outdoor entertainment, games, music, dance, and food experiences.

Speaking during the celebration, National Manager, Indomie Fan Club, Faith Joshua, said the brand decentralised the celebrations to accommodate the large turnout expected this year.

“We’re celebrating well over 100,000 children nationwide this year, and this started about ten days ago because the capacity to achieve this in a single location is nearly impossible. That’s why we decentralised with a commitment to host over 100,000 children nationwide,” she said.

Joshua said the celebration featured children from the Indomie Fan Club, as well as pupils and families from schools and communities across Nigeria.

“This is the 21st edition of the Children’s Day celebration by Indomie. What’s different this year is that apart from bringing together new pupils and schools, there’s also the launch of an app designed to further deepen engagement with children and families,” she added.

The event also received commendation from the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Mrs Subomi Sanwo-Olu.

“I’d like to specially appreciate the management of Dufil Prima Food Limited, the makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, for sustaining this commendable initiative over the years. Your consistent investment in the welfare, happiness, and development of children in Nigeria is worthy of recognition and appreciation,” she stated.

For decades, Indomie has remained a household favourite among Nigerian families, consistently championing initiatives that support children’s nutrition, education, entertainment, and overall well-being.

The 2026 Children’s Day celebration further strengthened the brand’s connection with millions of Nigerian children while creating shared experiences for families and communities nationwide.
