Governor Bala Mohammed has called on residents of Bauchi State to uphold peace, unity, and responsible conduct as Muslims celebrate the Eid al-Adha festival.
In a message to mark the celebration, the governor described Eid al-Adha as more than a festive occasion, saying it symbolises sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah.
He urged citizens to imbibe these virtues in their daily lives and interactions with one another.
Governor Bala Mohammed particularly appealed to political leaders, stakeholders, and supporters across party lines to place the peace and stability of Bauchi State above personal and political interests.
According to him, the current political climate requires maturity, restraint, and constructive engagement capable of strengthening democratic values rather than creating division.
The governor warned against provocative statements, hate-driven narratives, and actions capable of causing unrest, stressing that meaningful development can only flourish in an atmosphere of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
He further encouraged residents to use the spiritual significance of Eid al-Adha to promote forgiveness, strengthen communal relationships, support the less privileged, and pray for lasting peace and economic prosperity in Bauchi State and Nigeria.
Governor Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, social harmony, and sustainable development while wishing Muslims a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Eid al-Adha celebration.
