Akala Greets Muslims, Harps On Prayers

The House of Representatives member representing Ogbomoso North, South, and Orire federal constituency, Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao-Akala has felicitated Muslims on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Akala, Chairman, House Committee on Youth Parliament in his official message, which he personally signed to commemorate the festival said, It’s a great privilege to witness another calendar year of Eid-el-Kabir.

“Eid al-Kabir is a season of love and unity, a time to reach out to the needy and have-nots.

“On the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, we’ve got to be more prayerful and observe it in sober reflection, given the panoply of insecurity and other sundry challenges that the country is passing through.

“As I speak, some of our school children are still in the captivity of their abductors- this is saddening and it is not a moment for elaborate and vociferous celebration. As your Representative, we’re talking to the critical stakeholders to ensure their safe release, and we shall do so without letting you down.

“To the families of the kidnapped school children, we know that it is indeed a traumatic moment and a difficult emotional labyrinth to navigate, but the best we can do is to pray, intensify effort in their safe release and encourage our security agencies.

“And perpetrators of this heinous and dastardly shall be brought to book and answer for the crime that they’ve committed against humanity. Ordinarily, our schools should be a safe place for the future of tomorrow.

“Unfortunately, these enemies of peace have taken their criminal inclination to where future leaders are being incubated. And for this, they have murdered sleep and they shall definitely know no rest.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, let us continue to be patriotic citizens and eschew any act of violence or whatever form of practice that may threaten our unity.

“Mostly important, we should not relent in praying for our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who in his best is trying to reposition Nigeria. With our collective effort, Nigeria shall be great,” Akala submitted.
