Stakeholders under the umbrella of Rivers Professionals (RIVPRO) have applauded the emergence of Ogundu Kingsley Chinda as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

The group called on residents and political stakeholders across the state to rally behind Chinda, expressing confidence in his capacity, competence, and leadership qualities to deliver inclusive governance if elected.

In a statement issued yesterday by RIVPRO’s Director of Publicity, Nimi Solomon, the group described Chinda’s emergence as a significant step toward competent and visionary leadership in Rivers State.

Solomon noted that RIVPRO was particularly pleased with Chinda’s candidacy because he represents qualities many Rivers people have long sought in governance, including professional excellence, administrative experience, and a broad-minded, detribalised approach to leadership.

He said: “Chinda’s reputation as an astute and detribalized professional has earned him respect across ethnic, professional, and political lines.”
