Alex Ekubo To Be Buried In Abia On June 18


Late Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo is set to be buried on June 18, 2026, according to burial plans published by his family.

The actor battled metastatic kidney cancer before passing away on May 11, 2026.

Disclosing the burial arrangements on the late actor’s official instagram account, the family urged the public to keep praying for him, wife, and the entire family he left behind at this trying time.

The obsequies stated that a musical service would take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Monarch Event Center in Lekki, Lagos and attendees are expected to appear in white.

Also, the wake will take place at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 while the funeral service and burial will hold on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

The burial will take place in the family home at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State, after the funeral service at Mary Slessor School.

The obituary also stated that there will be a reception at Mary Slessor School in Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, right after the burial, and guests are expected to wear white.
