Alaafin Lauds Orangun Of Ila On 23rd Anniversary


The Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem, Owoade 1, has congratulated the Orangun of Ila, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwahab Oyedotun (Arutu Oluokun, Bibiire I), on his 23rd coronation anniversary, lauding his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to preserving Yoruba heritage.

The congratulatory message was contained in a press statement issued by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye.

Alaafin said that the Monarch’s leadership stand “has brought immense peace, progress, and unity to his kingdom and the country as a whole”, added that “the celebration of Orangun’s coronation anniversary is more than just merrymaking, but the celebration of a true leader on the front lines.”

According to the Alaafin, “your ascension to the throne of your forefathers marked decades of visionary leadership, cultural preservation, and developmental progress for the Igbomina and Yorubaland. You are one of the foremost and most revered monarchs in Yorubaland, tracing the history of your royal lineage directly to Oduduwa, the progenitor of the Yoruba race.

“Hearty congratulations to you my dear ancestry brother. Your Majesty’s exemplary leadership and dedication to the welfare of your subjects continue to inspire us all. We pray that the Almighty continues to bless you with enduring wisdom, excellent health, and strength to guide your people to greater heights.

“Your Majesty, your vision, selflessness, unflinching commitment, compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to peace and unity of your Kingdom, the Igbomina and Yorubaland are beholden to watch. You are a leader who turns challenges into triumphs.

“Hurray! to an exceptional leader on your 23rd coronation ceremony. We pray that God blesses you with enduring strength, greater wisdom, and unending favour on the throne. May your heart remain filled with joy and your life continue to flourish.

“Your Royal Majesty, please accept my warmest and most profound congratulations as you commemorate your coronation anniversary.
