APC Governors Lead Voting In Presidential Primary Across States


President Bola Tinubu has continued to record massive support across the country as governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) participated and voted in the party’s presidential primary election in their respective wards on Saturday, 23 May, 2026.

In Edo State, Governor Monday Okpebholo cast his vote in Udomi, Esan Central Local Government Area.

Speaking after the process, he described the exercise as peaceful and a reflection of growing confidence in the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He noted that the large turnout and orderly conduct of the primary demonstrated strong grassroots support for the President, adding that Edo State remains united and committed to backing Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

Similarly, in Borno State, Governor Babagana Zulum also joined party members in voting during the presidential primary held in Mafa Ward.

The exercise recorded a decisive result, with President Tinubu polling 2,175 votes, while rival aspirant Stanley Osifo received zero votes in the ward.

In same vein, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the presidential primary election in Ward L2, Ikoyi II said, “This is not my ward, but I’m the returning officer at the end of the day, so I also have to observe what is going on here. That’s why we’re here. All of the leaders of the ward are also here.”
