President Bola Tinubu has announced the approval of the appointment of Professor Segun Aina as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), succeeding Professor Ishaq Oloyede, whose tenure expires on July 31, 2026.
President Tinubu announced Aina’s appointment on Thursday in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The statement said that Aina is a Professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, with extensive experience in digital infrastructure, examination systems and institutional reforms.
The statement described him as a systems expert with over 15 years of experience advising federal and state governments on digital transition, institutional reforms and system design.
