Osogbo Residents Jubilate Over Emergence Of Adegoke, ITK

The members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and residents of Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, on Tuesday jubilated over the emergence of Barr Kunle Adegoke, SAN and Ibrahim Taofeek Kayode(ITK) as candidates of the party for the Senate and House of Representatives, respectively.

The jubilation was led by former Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Hon Sola Oladepo, as they held a “Thank You” walk of 4.1km from Osogbo Township Stadium to Freedom Park via Old Garage, where they terminated the celebration.

Oladepo explained that this is the first time an indigene of the state capital will produce a candidate for the Senate and the House of Representatives.

He said, “We residents and members of APC decided to embark on this jubilation rally as a show of strength and appreciation to God for what he has done for us in terms of the choice of candidate both for the House of Representatives and Senate.

“We commend the process because it is very transparent, free and fair, which unusually favours Osogbo; we have never had a situation where Osogbo and Olurunda will produce Senate and House of Representatives candidates in a party at the same time.

“APC as a party will get a bloc vote from these councils, we are battle-ready for the upcoming elections to ensure victory in the August 15th 2026 and 2027 general elections.”

Also, the leader of ITK Foundation, Yetunde Salami, said, “We are here because of Hon Ibrahim Taofeek Kayode(ITK) and Bar Kunle Adegoke, SAN, for their emergence as the flagbearer of APC for Rep and Senate.

These two entities have done so well for the development of our party in the two councils and beyond. They galvanised the party and ensured that they fight for the course of the party at all times.”
