The Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Olubiyi Fadeyi Ajagunla, has lost his bid to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket.
Ajagunla, who hails from Ila-Orangun, the hometown of the former Interim National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande, lost his Senatorial bid to the Osogbo-born legal luminary, Barrister Adegoke Adekunle Rasheed, popularly known as K-Rad, ahead of the 2027 National Assembly elections in Osun State.
Ajagunla, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, was defeated by Rasheed in the primary election conducted across the senatorial district.
Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee, Bayo Ayo, announced the results in Osogbo, following the conclusion of the exercise.
