PDP Begins Nationwide Screening Of Aspirants


The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the official commencement of its nationwide screening of aspirants seeking to contest legislative and executive positions on the party’s platform in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

The exercise, which began in Abuja on Tuesday, includes the screening of presidential and governorship aspirants at the national level in the Federal Capital Territory, while senatorial, House of Representatives, and state assembly hopefuls are being screened across designated centres nationwide.

The screening process is aimed at assessing the eligibility, competence, and readiness of aspirants, as well as ensuring compliance with party guidelines and electoral requirements.

The ongoing exercise marks a critical step in the PDP’s preparations for the 2027 polls, as the party seeks to present credible candidates across all levels of government.
