Abiodun Hails Peaceful Ogun East Senatorial Exercise


Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary held on Monday, 18 May, 2026 in Ogun East.

The governor who is also contesting for the Ogun East Senatorial district described the process as a reflection of the party’s unity and democratic maturity.

Abiodun made the remark after participating in the primary election at his polling unit in Ward 3, Ita Osanyin, Iperu-Remo, in Ikenne Local Government Area of the state.

The governor said the smooth conduct of the exercise reflected the commitment of party members across Ogun State to internal democracy and the progressive ideals of the APC.

He expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, electoral officials, and security agencies for their roles in ensuring a hitch-free process.

Abiodun also lauded APC members for their loyalty and cooperation, noting that their collective efforts continue to strengthen the party ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
