Dr. Esther Afolabi For Burial


Dr. (Mrs.) Esther Oludayo Afolabi is dead. Aged 71, her burial will hold from Friday, June 26 to Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

According to a statement released by the Afolabi family, a Service of Songs and Wake-Keep will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at her residence, Castle of Mercy and Grace, Phase 3, Moremi Estate, opposite Energy Petrol Station, along Ile-Ife Road, commencing at 4:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service and Thanksgiving will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Anu, Modakeke DCC Headquarters (along Urban/Ondo Road), starting at 10:00 a.m., following a private interment.

A reception for guests will follow immediately after the service at Ojaja Resort, along Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife. Dr. Afolabi was a retired school principal, entrepreneur, and former staff member of Adeleke University, Ede.

She hailed from the renowned Baba Akande/Baba Abiye family of Ede. A devoted Christian and lover of people, she earned a Master’s degree at LIFE Theological Seminary, Lagos, and a Ph D. at Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State. She is survived by her husband, Pastor E. O. Afolabi, children, and other family members
