APC Postpones House Of Reps Primaries, Retains Other Dates


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections from Friday, May 15, 2026 to Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The party disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka on Thursday, noting that all other primary election dates remain unchanged.

According to the revised timetable, the House of Representatives primaries will now hold on May 16, while the Senate primaries are scheduled for Monday, May 18.

The State Houses of Assembly primaries will take place on Wednesday, May 20, followed by the governorship primaries on Thursday, May 21.

The party also confirmed that its presidential primary election will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, as earlier announced.

The APC did not provide reasons for the adjustment but assured party members and stakeholders that arrangements remain on course for the successful conduct of the primaries.
