Nigerian actress and producer Uche Jombo has pledged to support the wife of late Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo, who died on Monday, 11, after a long battle with liver cancer.
In an Instagram post, Jombo said she joined others in visiting Ekubo’s home, where they met with his wife and spoke about the actor.
She observed that his personality was reflected in the way the conversation alternated between laughter and tears. The actress conveyed her appreciation for the love, memories, lessons, and discussions she had with Ekubo.

She said that although those who were close to him were devastated by his passing, they thought he was pain-free. Jombo claimed that she gave thanks to God for both his life and the final serenity he had.
She added that she and others had assured his wife of their continued support.
“As we sat around your wife today talking about you, through the tears came heavy laughter, and I looked around and said … this is so Alex! Thank you, brother, for the memories, lessons, conversations and love!
“Because I know how much of a planner you are and how intentional you are, I can say you did it YOUR WAY!
“Everything else is noise. Our hearts are breaking, but I know you are free from pain and left with a smile.
“I thank God for your life, for your peace with him in the end. I’m sure you already know we got her! Love you and miss you, Ikuku”, she wrote.
