Oyo APC Leaders Adopt Alli As Consensus Guber Candidate

All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders yesterday adopted Senator Sharafadeen Alli as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 Oyo State governorship poll.

Speaking on behalf of the leaders, Pa Alarape Jolaoso said the adoption followed the long-standing tradition of progressive politics, where party elders and stakeholders usually arrive at candidates through consensus.

Also speaking, Senator Ayoade Adeseun expressed confidence that Alli would record an overwhelming victory if a direct primary election were eventually conducted.

Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle said party leaders chose loyalty to the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions and individual considerations.

Senator Brimoh Yusuff, Aderemi Oseni, Segun Taiwo and Sola Ogunbode described Alli as a committed and loyal party man who would give his best for the development of the state.
