A governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Kano State, Muhammad Bello Dalha, has said the state deserves leadership that listens, understands the struggles of the people, and works sincerely to improve their lives.
Dalha, who spoke on Tuesday after submitting his governorship nomination forms, promised that his administration would prioritise the welfare of women and children through improved healthcare services, support for vulnerable families, better access to education, and programs that will uplift mothers, widows, and young girls across our communities.
“We will also focus strongly on empowering our youth with modern and practical skills. Our young people are energetic, talented, and full of potential, but many lack opportunities.
“We intend to invest in ICT, entrepreneurship, agriculture, vocational training, and innovation-driven programs that can create jobs and restore hope among our youth,” he stated.
The aspirant decried the danger of drug abuse by young people, regretting that lives, families, and communities were being destroyed.
Dalha assured that his administration would collaborate with parents, religious scholars, traditional rulers, community leaders, and security agencies to tackle the security menace.
He promised to rehabilitate victims of drug abuse and create awareness among the youths on the dangers of drug abuse.
The aspirant further stated that he would strengthen and support security agencies to tackle security challenges in Kano, as well as structure community leadership to ensure safer communities, peaceful coexistence, and improved grassroots security coordination across Kano State.
“Our administration will also support traders, artisans, entrepreneurs, and business owners by creating an enabling environment for businesses to grow.
“Economic growth must reach the markets, the streets, and the homes of ordinary people,” he added.
