As Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, submitted his nomination form and was successfully screened, the coast is now clear for another landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

After the screening exercise, Idris praised the national leadership of the party for providing a level playing field for members and aspirants to exercise their rights through a transparent process.

In a statement, Abdullahi Idris Saudakin Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the Kebbi State Governor, said Nasir Idris also expresses profound gratitude to stakeholders, members of the APC in the state, and the people of Kebbi State for the trust and confidence reposed in him.

Nasir has returned to Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, where he was received by prominent politicians, top government functionaries, family members and well wishers.
