Gov Idris Submits Nomination Form

As APC screening goes successfully

As Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State submitted his nomination form and was successfully screened, the coast is now clear for another landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Shortly after the screening exercise, Governor Idris praised the national leadership of the party for providing a level playing field for members and aspirants to exercise their rights through a transparent process.

In a statement, Abdullahi Idris Saudakin Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the Kebbi State Governor, said Comrade Nasir Idris also expressed profound gratitude to stakeholders, members of the APC in the state, and the people of Kebbi State for the trust and confidence reposed in him.

Comrade Governor Nasir has returned to Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, where he was received by prominent politicians, top government functionaries, family members, and well-wishers.

Meanwhile, a non-governmental organization, “No Vacancy Network,” founded to promote the continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Comrade Governor Idris, has established chapters across several states, including Kebbi, where it has begun public awareness campaigns.

The leadership of the Kebbi State chapter, led by Coordinator Hon. Nasiru Turakin Masama, visited the Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy at his residence over the weekend and conferred on him the title of Patron of the organization in the state.

At the presentation ceremony, the state coordinator acknowledged the adviser’s commitment and dedication to championing the return of President Tinubu and Comrade Nasir Idris beyond 2027.

The appointment letter reads in part: “In recognition of your commitment to the continuity of President Bola Tinubu and Comrade Governor Nasir Idris, No Vacancy Network has appointed you as a patron of the organization in Kebbi State.”

It is on record that Kebbi State has witnessed unprecedented transformation across all sectors through the execution of high-quality and impactful development programmes and projects under Comrade Governor Idris’s administration in the last three years.

In addition, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has remarkably improved the well-being of the people of Kebbi State through valuable infrastructure projects and viable socio-economic empowerment programmes.

Among such projects is the 1,068-kilometre Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, with 250 kilometres cutting across Kebbi State, which will boost economic growth and social development along the corridor.

The presidential approval for the Kebbi State Government to take over the reconstruction of the abandoned Koko-Zuru federal road project, as well as the construction of the Natsini-Kangiwa-Kamba, Zaima-Zuru-Gamji, Malando-Warrah, and Birnin Yauri-Rijau-Zuru roads, is also notable.

Also worthy of note is the federal government’s support for agricultural development, healthcare delivery, economic empowerment, and its demonstrated concern and support in addressing security challenges.

Two weeks ago, political associates and major stakeholders in the APC in the state organized a Unity Rally—the fourth of its kind—that brought together hundreds of thousands of party loyalists committed to the success of the party. The rally showcased the loyalty, commitment, and strength of the membership.

The crowd unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the President and Governor Idris and endorsed them for a second term.

However, no amount of blackmail, fabrication of falsehoods, or display of allegedly acquired ill-gotten wealth can change the people’s conviction in the sincerity and capacity of Comrade Governor Nasir Kauran Gwandu.

With the submission of the nomination form and successful screening exercise, Comrade Governor Nasir Idris and the APC are fully prepared to launch the 2027 electioneering campaigns at the appropriate time and secure another historic victory in 2027, Insha Allah.
