Court Convicts Fake Native Doctor, Adjourns Suits Of Eke Hit, Animalu

The Anambra State High Court, presided over by Honourable Justice Jude Obiora, has sentenced a native doctor Mr. Igwe Lazarus Friday to three years imprisonment for disobeying the Anambra Homeland laws.

According to the judgement delivered, the three years imprisonment would be served concurrently at the Amawbia Correction Center.

The Court however adjourned the trial of two other native doctors from Anambra, Ekene Igwekweze (also known as Eke Hit) and Paul Animalu, who are facing charges for breaching the State Homeland Laws.

The hearings are set to continue next Monday to allow the defendants to present their cases. During proceedings, the defendant Counsel concluded its cross-examination, with a police officer testifying about the incident in support of Agunechemba Security Squad.

In the matter in Suit NoA/42c/25, State versus Ekene Igwekweze, several witnesses took the stand, and the police officer successfully completed crossexamination from the defendant’s counsel to move the case forward.

With this latest update, Ekene Igwekweze, also known as Eke Hit, will be in Court on Monday to begin his defense, while the Agunechemba legal team is prepared to challenge the defense’s arguments.
