2027: APC Will Dislodge PDP In Oyo

The immediate past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will dislodge the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.

Adelabu made this declaration in a statement to journalists on Saturday, announcing his decision to run under the APC in the next gubernatorial election in the state, saying it was borne out of his desire to build a better Oyo State.

Adelabu explained that he has concluded plans to declare his ambition formally on Tuesday in Ibadan, the state capital. To him, the declaration would mark the beginning of a renewed political journey.

He disclosed that his return to the gubernatorial race was aimed at returning the state to what he described as ‘progressive leadership under the APC’.

He said, “APC would reclaim power in the state in 2027 through unity, commitment and the support of party faithful and residents”.

Saturday Telegraph recalls that Adelabu was the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in the 2019 gubernatorial election but lost to governor Seyi Makinde.
