Shakira, Burna Boy Collaborate On World Cup Theme Son


Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira and Nigerian Afrobeats artist Burna Boy have both released the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song.

Shakira unveiled the song titled “Dai Dai,” which features a captivating melody and outstanding vocal performances by both musicians on Thursday, May 7, on her social media page.

In the short video, backup dancers surround Shakira, who previously performed the official 2010 FIFA World Cup song “Waka Waka,” while she holds the ball.

Announcing the new release, Shakira wrote, “From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready!”

In the video, she sways and dances in time with the tune of the song, capturing the remarkable harmony between Burna Boy’s and her voices.

As Afrobeats continues to acquire prominence on key worldwide platforms, Burna Boy’s growing global presence is reinforced by the cooperation.

The United States, Canada, and Mexico will co-host the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
