Yesufu Dumps ADC, Joins NDC To Contest FCT Senate Seat

Nigerian socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu has resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), where she will contest for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) senatorial seat.

Yesufu on Tuesday said her decision was driven by her commitment to supporting former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, whom she described as embodying the hope and aspirations of a better Nigeria.

According to her, the move aligns with a promise she had previously made to back Obi’s political direction, noting that her earlier decision to join the ADC was also influenced by that commitment.
