City Boy Movement Unveils Delta Secretariat After Nat’l Youth Tour

The City Boy Movement is set to unveil its Delta State Secretariat and expanded State Executive Council on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in Asaba, Delta State, following the success of its recently held National Youth Tour (South South Zone).

The unveiling marks another important step in strengthening the City Boy Movement’s grassroots structure in Delta State and deepening organised support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Movement commends the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his support and for providing an enabling environment for youth participation, political inclusion and constructive civic engagement in the state.

Speaking ahead of the unveiling, the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, said the expanded executive council and State Secretariat will help translate the momentum from the National Youth Tour into structured action.

“This is not just the unveiling of a Secretariat. It is the activation of a stronger grassroots structure in Delta State. We are supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because his administration is taking the difficult but necessary decisions required to reset Nigeria’s economy, expand opportunity, strengthen national productivity and secure a more sustainable future for young Nigerians, and the positive results are already showing.

Our duty is to take that message to the grassroots and every nook and cranny of Nigeria, with clarity and conviction,” Shoga said.

In his comments, the South-South Coordinator of the Movement, Senator Asuquo Ekpeyong, said the Delta structure will help convert regional enthusiasm into disciplined political and civic engagement.

“The South-South is central to Nigeria’s future, and Delta State is central to the South-South. Coming after the National Youth Tour, this Secretariat gives our members a home, our message a structure and our communities a platform for direct engagement.

“We will continue to mobilise peacefully, explain the President’s reforms and ensure that young people are active participants in the Renewed Hope project,” Senator Ekpeyong said.

Chairman and Patron of the City Boy Movement, Barr. Oluwaseyi Tinubu also noted that the support of state leaders and grassroots stakeholders remains vital to the success of the Movement.

“We appreciate the support of the Governor of Delta State and all stakeholders across Nigeria who believe in responsible youth engagement. The City Boy Movement stands with President Tinubu because we believe in his leadership and vision.

“The City Boy Movement is a movement of conviction, service and nation building, and we are taking the Renewed Hope message to every youth in every ward, every LGA, and every State in Nigeria,” Seyi Tinubu said.

The Delta Unveiling event will bring together national and state leaders of the Movement, political stakeholders, youth and women representatives, community leaders, volunteers and supporters of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
