Gani Adam’s Life, Blueprint For True Progress, National Cohesion – Hamzat

Akinrogun Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Otunba Adewale Hamzat, on Saturday, extolled the virtues of the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, in a statement as Iba Adams marked his 56th birthday anniversary on Friday.

While congratulating the Yoruba Generalissimo on his birthday, Hazmat noted that as the nation continues to grapple with socio-economic challenges, recurring incidences of insecurity, and cultural divisions, the virtues exemplified by Adams offered a blueprint for true progress and national cohesion.

He said that Iba Adams had long been recognised for his courage and integrity, particularly in his role as the National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), adding that his fearless advocacy for the rights and welfare of the Yoruba people underscored a leadership style grounded in discipline and dignity of labour.

Hazmat said: “His appointment as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo in 2017 was a testament to his steadfast dedication to his people and culture. “Beyond courage, Adams is a visionary leader.

His establishment of the Oodua Progressive Union (OPU) in 2011 reflects a forward thinking approach aimed at fostering unity among the Yoruba Diaspora and preserving cultural heritage.

This visionary governance is precisely what Nigeria needs to harness its diverse potentials and build a future that respects its rich cultural mosaic.”
