Bala Mohammed Defects To APM In Bauchi

Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has finally defected to the Allied People’s Movement (APM) alongside key stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State.

Governor Mohammed made this announcement on Saturday, after a closed-door meeting with stakeholders at the Old Banquet Hall on Saturday in Bauchi.

According to him, the move became necessary due to the situation within the PDP and following the ruling of the Supreme Court.

He thanked the APM for allowing his supporters to join and participate in the forthcoming primaries and general elections.

The National Chairman of the APM, Yusuf Muhammadu Dan Talle, presented the party’s guidelines and constitution to the state chapter to guide its operations.

Governor Mohammed stated that the party’s slogan is “Nigeria First, Bauchi First.”

In his remarks, Dan Talle described the APM as a “clean political party” open to all candidates regardless of status, adding that the party has national recognition.

He further stated that the APM has no pending litigation in any court across the country and assured the people of Bauchi that the party would not disappoint them.

The event witnessed the presence of high-level stakeholders from the PDP and marked the emergence of the APM as a new political force in the state.

Political observers believe the governor’s move has ended weeks of speculation about his possible defection to other parties, including the APC, ADC, NDC, and PRP.
